Elasticsearch Service is now available on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in Australia

We are pleased to share the news that the GCP Sydney (australia-southeast1) region for the Elasticsearch Service on Elastic Cloud is now available! This is our sixth Google Cloud Platform (GCP) region globally, and our second GCP region in Asia Pacific.

“It’s great to see Elastic extending its offerings on GCP to APAC Sydney. Having parity with the rest of the world is crucial to ensuring that the APAC region can effectively benefit from the latest technological offerings whilst providing fast and responsive solutions to our customers, giving them the best user experience, regardless of where our systems are hosted,” said Tim Duly, GM of Engineering at The Warehouse Group.

Existing users can start using the GCP Sydney region on our Elasticsearch Service immediately. New users can sign up for a free 14-day trial to try it out.

“The launch of the Elasticsearch Service on GCP in Sydney, much like the recent launch of the Tokyo region, means more of our worldwide users can benefit from our partnership with Google Cloud,” said Craig Griffin, Vice President of Business Development at Elastic. “This region expansion will complement the upcoming billing integration for the Elasticsearch Service on Google Cloud.”

Billing integration for the Elasticsearch Service on GCP (via GCP Marketplace) is now available under a closed beta. If you would like to participate in the beta program, please reach out to elastic-gcp-billing@elastic.co.

What’s next for Google Cloud and the Elasticsearch Service

Earlier this year we announced an expanded partnership with Google to bring our Elasticsearch Service into the GCP Console, providing a more native experience. Looking ahead, Elastic will continue to introduce new GCP regions for the Elasticsearch Service, deepen billing integration via the marketplace and offer new ways to interact with the Elasticsearch Service through native GCP Console integration. All of these elements are part of our continued effort to provide the best possible Elastic Stack experience for GCP customers.
