Elastic’s move to free on-demand training

Students can now learn what they need within the Elastic stack anytime.

The Elastic Training team has shifted its on-demand training strategy from paid to free! Yes, you heard that right — complimentary on-demand training is now readily available to everyone. 

The Elastic Training team is continuously developing and releasing bite-sized training modules designed to align with Elastic solutions and highlight key features. Short-form media has transformed how we engage with information, creating opportunities for content that’s clear and fast to digest. With that in mind, modules are self-paced, short, and hands-on, allowing our students to learn what they need within the Elastic Stack when they need it.

Because there is a preferred way of learning for everyone, we have kept the premium instructor-led experience and industry-recognized certification program, which bring highly sought-after, real-world use cases to our users. Therefore, the complimentary on-demand training is a move to enhance and expand the skillsets of our students.

We’re always innovating

New on-demand Associate Accreditations will produce digital badges to validate skills; the GenAI Associate Accreditation is available today. Being free and open in nature, exams will not be proctored, and there are no prerequisites. However, to get a head start, we highly recommend taking the on-demand Search modules to gain a deeper understanding of Elastic’s generative AI (GenAI) capabilities. 

At Black Hat 2025, our first round of training modules were released, covering topics like Elasticsearch Query Language (ES|QL) for Security, Elastic Attack Discovery, Elastic AI Assistant, and more. We continued releasing new offerings at each of our Elastic{ON} events with modules on Elastic AI SOC Engine (EASE), Elastic Logs Essentials, and so much more.

What’s in store for the on-demand training program?

  • Expanding the program with new topics like Elastic Agent Builder, Entity Analytics for Elastic Security, enhanced Logs Essentials, and AutoOps. 

  • Updating modules to offer better video quality and more hands-on exercises supported by clear learning paths and role-based content to guide you to what matters most. 

  • Adding more new on-demand Associate Accreditations to provide practical assessments that let you validate and showcase your skills.
