Delete a search application Beta; Added in 8.8.0

DELETE /_application/search_application/{name}

Remove a search application and its associated alias. Indices attached to the search application are not removed.

Required authorization

  • Index privileges: manage
  • Cluster privileges: manage_search_application

Path parameters

  • name string Required

    The name of the search application to delete.
