- AI input: Any Customer information that Customer submits into AI.
- AI output: Data, responses, information, or content generated by AI by processing AI input.
- Customer: Customer entity set forth in: (a) an Order Form between Customer and Elastic; (b) a private offer submitted by Elastic via the applicable Marketplace; or (c) an Order Form executed by Elastic and a Reseller on behalf of Customer.
- Customer data: AI input provided by Customer to Elastic, and AI output generated in return.
- Telemetry and analytics: Customer data excludes product usage data, which is statistical data about Customer's configuration and use of Elastic products and services. Elastic processes such product usage data in accordance with the Elastic Product Privacy Statement.
- Elastic AI: Artificial intelligence and machine learning enabled features, functions, and support services provided by Elastic, including any preconfigured LLMs managed by Elastic. Elastic AI includes both generative and non-generative AI. Elastic AI excludes any third-party or Customer-provided AI, which Customer may develop, procure, deploy, integrate, or otherwise use in conjunction with Elastic products and services.
- Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI): Technology, functionality, systems, or tools that use neural networks, large language models (LLM), or other artificial intelligence techniques to generate, synthesize, or transform data into AI output in response to AI input. GenAI excludes non-generative AI. Elastic GenAI includes the Elastic managed LLM but excludes any third-party or Customer-provided AI, which Customer may develop, procure, deploy, integrate, or otherwise use in conjunction with Elastic products and services.
