The Elastic Stack is a new name and vision for our open source projects: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and Beats. But what does that really mean, and where are we headed? This session will set the stage (literally) for the day.
From new features like ingest node, instant aggregations, and IPv6 type support, to improvements to field datatypes, the completion suggester, and resiliency — get everything you need to know about what's new and what's coming in Elasticsearch.
Shay Banon, CTO & Founder | Elastic
Not only does Kibana have a streamlined new look, but with 5.0 it begins its evolution to the user interface for all things Elastic Stack: installation, configuration, management, visualization, and more.
Tanya Bragin, Director, Product Management | Elastic
Logstash, Filebeat, Packetbeat, Winlogbeat … oh, and have you heard about Metricbeat yet? Yep, there's a lot going on when it comes to ingesting data into the Elastic Stack. Get up to speed on the latest.
Brandon Mensing, Product Manager, Strategy | Elastic
Security, alerting, Graph, monitoring, reporting (new!) … learn how easily a single plugin adds a whole heck of functionality to your entire Stack.

Grab some food, hang out, and spend some time with us and our sponsors.
How does a large enterprise company change the way it thinks about and measures the success of its digital endeavors, from customer experience to developer quality of life? In this talk, we discuss Kroger's migration from tailing log files on servers to creating a large-scale data pipeline for log and metric aggregation and analysis. We’ll share some of the challenges faced, what our current production pipeline looks like and take a peek at the road map.
Dan Frohlich | Software Architect | Kroger
As our marketing efforts become more precise, our search capabilities needed to change to keep up. Migrating from Endeca to Elastic has been an interesting experience. As Endeca is a configuration intensive application and the search engine is a bit of a black box, Elastic has allowed us to reduce the configuration effort to almost nothing. Untested script code script code is a thing of past. Our searching has become very precise and efficient. This talk will be about our journey.
Doug Nelson | Tech Lead | General Mills
Now that you know the latest features of the Elastic Stack, how do you put them into action? When do you use Beats, when do you use Logstash, and when is ingest node the best way to go? In a combination of slides + live demos, our world-class trainers will go through a step-by-step process on how to architect the Elastic Stack for a few of our most popular use cases.
Tickets are sold out, but we are working on adding capacity.
