This command allows you to alter the number of replicas (per shard) for indices matching the specified criteria. This is useful if you would like to reduce your per-node shard count.
Setting this to zero will remove the default redundancy of 1 replica per shard. This is not recommended unless you have first created a backup/snapshot of the indices in question.
$ curator replicas --help Usage: curator replicas [OPTIONS] COMMAND [ARGS]... Replica Count Per-shard Options: --count INTEGER Number of replicas the indices should have. --help Show this message and exit. Commands: indices Index selection.
Change the replica count to zero for matching indices:
curator replicas --count 0 indices <<index selection parameters>>
