It is time to say goodbye: This version of Elastic Cloud Enterprise has reached end-of-life (EOL) and is no longer supported.
The documentation for this version is no longer being maintained. If you are running this version, we strongly advise you to upgrade. For the latest information, see the current release documentation.
For versions before 5.0: : You might need to reset the password for the
admin user if you cannot authenticate with the
admin user ID and are effectively locked out from a cluster.
To reset the password:
- Log into the Cloud UI.
On the Clusters page, select the cluster where you need to reset the password for the
adminuser and go to the Security tab.
In the editor, enter a new password for the
adminuser. Keep the password in a secure location.
- Click Save to hash the password and save the updated Shield configuration.
The password is hashed when you save the Shield configuration, so if you lose it, you need to reset the password again.
