Keeping up with Kibana: This week in Kibana for January 29, 2018

Welcome to Keeping up with Kibana! This is a series of posts on new developments in the Kibana project and any related learning resources and events.

Hi all,

This week I'd like to point out some talks and other activities the Kibana team will be involved in at Elastic{ON} 2018. I strongly encourage you to attend, but even if you can't, many of these talks will be recorded and provided on the Elastic web site  after the conference.

Court Ewing and I will be doing a Kibana overview, which will demonstrate a bunch of key new features since the last Elastic{ON}. We'll also give a preview of the road map for 2018. Our  session is "What's Cooking in Kibana."

Rashid Khan’s talk titled  "Creating Canvas for Real-Time Infographics in Kibana" is sure to be interesting. It’s a  combination of behind-the-scenes stories and demonstrations of our newest Kibana application.

Rashmi Kulkarni, Tim Roes, and Thomas Nierynck will take folks through an entire data analysis scenario, from ingesting data to publishing an analysis with our Reports capability. Their talk is "From Raw Data to Critical Decisions: Analyzing Data with Kibana."

Nick Knize and Thomas Nierynck will show some cool Geo features in Elasticsearch and Kibana and preview upcoming features  in "The State of Geo in Elasticsearch."

Be sure to join us for the  User Feedback sessions for Kibana and other products. You’ll be able to  test new features and give feedback on existing ones.

If you’re  attending Elastic{ON}, please drop by the AMA booth and introduce yourself--we'd love to meet you. If you can't attend, and you're interested in any of these topics, look for them after the conference on our  web site.

Cheers,

Jim
