The Logstash Lines: RC4 release coming soon
Welcome back to The Logstash Lines! In these weekly posts, we'll share the latest happenings in the world of Logstash and its ecosystem.
In case you missed it, we released RC3 last week, found a bug and are planning an RC4 very soon. Stay tuned!
Logstash Core and Plugins
- Lumberjack input: PH has been working on an issue related to logstash-forwarder and lumberjack input which could cause memory leaks. When downstream pipeline components are stalled, lumberjack will continue to accept events and buffer them in memory, ultimately causing an OOM. The fix for this issue should make RC4.
- Upgraded to JRuby 1.7.19 which will bring in a bunch of fixes (#3066).
- Fixed plugin manager update issue which would affect the other commands in plugin lifecycle like install, removal etc. (#3075).
