Aaron Katz, Elastic VP of Worldwide Field Operations, sat down with Don Duet, Goldman Sachs Co-Head of Technology, to discuss using open source technology like Elasticsearch across the organization.
Aaron KatzAaron Katz is responsible for all sales and partnership activities at Elastic. Previously, he spent 12 years at salesforce.com, held management roles at BenefitPoint (acquired by Vertafore), and international consulting / corporate finance roles at PeopleSoft and Sun Microsystems, respectively.
Don is co-head of the Technology Division. He serves on the Firmwide Risk Committee, Firmwide Technology Risk Committee. He is also co-chair of both the Investment Banking Division's Technology Investment Committee and Clean Technology and Renewables Group Investment Committee.
Don joined Goldman Sachs in 1988 as an associate in the Technology Department within Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities in New York. He transitions to a number of roles within Technology, relocating in London in 1991, Frankfurt in 1993 and Tokyo in 1996. Don was the chief information officer for Goldman Sachs in Asia from 2001 to 2006. Prior to assuming his current role, he was global chief operating officer of the Technology Division. He was named managing director in 2000 and partner in 2006.
