The Elastic family unites employees across 30+ countries into one coherent team, while the broader community spans across over 100 countries.</p> <p>Our Global Immigration and Mobility Specialist will be responsible for providing a broad range of support to our managers and employees throughout the immigration processes; advising and directing 3rd party service providers; as well as partnering with HR Business Partners, Recruiting, Legal, Payroll, Compensation and management. You thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly to a changing environments, take a global view, are data driven and technically savvy and have a real passion for bringing people insights to the business, and know that sometimes laughter is indeed the best solution.</p> <h2>You will:</h2> <ul> <li>Have experience working in distributed and multi-national environment, as well as have the ability to function in an independent manner with a high degree of initiative.</li> <li>Serve as the central point of contact for all matters related to Global Mobility and Immigration</li> <li>Handle day-to-day immigration related matters (H-1B, L-1, Permanent Residency, etc).</li> <li>Partner with internal stakeholders and outside legal service provider to coordinate initiation, posting, and signing of all immigration-related applications</li> <li>Provide consultative support to assignees and internal partners with regard to the policies, processes, and operations around our immigration process.</li> <li>Resolve immigration issues related to assignees, transferees, and/or foreign nationals.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with employees at all levels, as well as with multiple departments/programs in order to effectively and timely meet objectives</li> <li>Smoothly deal with unusual or unexpected issues with a high tolerance for ambiguity.</li> <li>Assist with tax activities including coordination of compensation collection and tax payments.</li> <li>Monitor and produces monthly metrics reports, and performs ad hoc assignment/project work as needed.</li> <li>Actively participate in global team meetings/calls with others from various regions and service providers.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Required</strong> <strong>Skills</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Experience:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, International HR/Global Mobility experience strongly preferred.</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of US employment-based immigration required. Candidates with specific experience in immigration, relocation, and expatriate management are strongly preferred.</li> <li>Organization and attention to detail is your main focus because you understand that the little things are important to our employees</li> <li>People are amazed at the level of passion and energy you bring to work each day.</li> <li>Must display excellent judgment and problem solving, while operating in a flexible and professional manner.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to keep accurate, orderly files and records.</li> <li>Naturally approachable, dynamic and people focused</li> <li>You want solutions and you take ownership of problems, get things done, and keep partners informed</li> <li>Ability to build effective work relationships within the organization, influence behavior, and manage change</li> <li>You understand the importance of being an effective communicator and how this impacts the programs and concepts we handle every single day</li> <li>Integrity and honesty are two of your most important characteristics which you demonstrate with ease.
