As our lead for Elastic’s global workplaces you will have responsibility to plan, develop and manage the implementation and execution of a real estate strategy that supports our business objectives and develop spaces that reflect our culture.</p> <p>You thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly to a changing environment and take a global view. You are data-driven when thinking about facilities but understand the deeply human aspects of space and its impact on employee engagement. You understand best practice but aren't afraid to think creatively. You love taking projects from strategy and design through to implementation. You balance critical, long term thinking about how we scale our real estate portfolio with ability to be hands-on to ensure what needs to happen today gets done. We’re looking for people with strong influencing skills, comfortable engaging with the C-suite execs, effective at collaborating with distributed teams and building positive relationships with partners across the company.</p> <h3>You will :</h3> <ul> <li>Develop and implement real estate strategies that are tightly aligned to our business, objectives, culture and needs, and that deliver exceptional employee experience.</li> <li>Compile and maintain data to support real estate priorities and decision-making, including budget, forecasts, key metrics and external benchmarks.</li> <li>Manage real estate capital spend and operating budget.</li> <li>Build out robust process to evaluate space needs with critical thinking on how we evaluate needs and propose solutions (i.e. lease vs. purchase, lease renewal vs. relocation vs. consolidation, collaborative and agile spaces vs. traditional office space etc.).</li> <li>Routinely report capacity metrics, risks and opportunities to Executive Leadership Team.</li> <li>Lead negotiations and finalize contracts with respect to leases, facility vendors, architects, real estate brokers, contractors and others as necessary supported by our Strategic Sourcing function.</li> <li>Oversee and coordinate ongoing compliance with standards established by regulatory bodies throughout portfolio, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace.</li> <li>Lead and develop team responsible for providing facilities management and office services.</li> </ul> <h3>You have:</h3> <ul> <li>A consistent record of developing, executing and managing real estate internationally.</li> <li>An exceptional work ethic, high energy, demonstrates urgency, fast pace and ability to multi-task.</li> <li>A deep understanding of real estate related processes: strategic sourcing, supply chain management, human capital management, facilities management, location management, lease transaction management, design, construction and project management.</li> <li>The ability to act as an organization-wide change agent, communicating effectively at all levels of the organization including successfully presenting complex financial and organizational analyses to Senior and Executive Leadership Team</li> <li>Strong project management skills with experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from design phase through to implementation.</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines</li> <li>Experience with selection and implementation of building management systems, end-user facility maintenance request systems and vendor invoicing systems.</li> </ul> <h3>Requirements:</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree required.</li> <li>Minimum of ten years in real estate / workplace functions.</li> <li>Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.</li> </ul> <p>Elastic is an Equal Employment employer committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action for all applicants and employees.
