As Internal Events Associate you will have the lead in ensuring key internal events for the business are executed effectively and efficiently. You will be driven by the desire to exceed employee expectations in each and every event, and constantly challenging to raise the bar higher for future events.</p> <p>You balance critical thinking for the successful delivery of each event, with a hands-on approach to ensure what needs to happen today gets done. You will thrive in the sometimes chaotic fast-paced open environment. We’re looking for people with strong influencing and customer service skills who are effective collaborating with multiple teams and building strong relationships with stakeholders.</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <p>Execute operational aspects of internal events end-to-end, including;</p> <ul> <li>Developing an integrated event plan, identifying core requirements and associated budget, in coordination with key stakeholders,</li> <li>Sourcing event vendors including conference venue, hotels, caterers, transportation services, activities, and oversee contracts execution,</li> <li>Employee communications and registration,</li> <li>Coordinate logistics, speakers, agendas, and staff with key stakeholders.</li> <li>Handling set-up and take-down, and</li> <li>Post event reviews including surveys, and findings for future events.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Experience</strong></h2> <ul> <li>2-3 years experience working business events with at least 300 to 1,000 attendees.</li> <li>Strong project management skills, with the ability to influence upwards and prioritize effectively in a dynamic changing environment.</li> <li>Brings a can-do positive attitude, proactively thinking through challenges and coming up with pragmatic workable solutions.</li> <li>Experienced working remotely, or with minimal supervision, and a self-disciplined approach to work.</li> <li>Detail oriented, taking real pride to ensure nothing is missed.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Requirements:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree.</li> <li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.</li> <li>Excellent work ethic, enthusiastic, diligent, with attention to detail.</li> <li>Flexibility to travel.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Additional</strong> <strong>Information</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Competitive pay and benefits</li> <li>401K matching</li> <li>Stock options</li> <li>Catered lunches, snacks, and beverages in most offices</li> <li>An environment in which you can balance great work with a great life</li> <li>Passionate people building great products</li> <li>Employees with a wide variety of interests</li> <li>Distributed-first company with employees in over 30 countries, spread across 18 time zones, and speaking over 30 languages!</li> </ul> <p>Elastic is an Equal Employment employer committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action for all applicants and employees.
